Configuring Alerts
Open the Alerts section in the dashboard. Each alert type has its own settings:
Display Settings
- Title text — the header shown on the alert (e.g., "New Follower!" or "{username} just followed!"). Use
{username}and{amount}as placeholders. - Duration — how long the alert stays on screen (seconds).
- Animation — entry and exit animation style (fade, slide, bounce, etc.).
Custom Media
Each alert can have:
- Custom image or GIF — shown inside the alert card.
- Custom sound — an audio file that plays when the alert fires. Upload
.mp3or.wavfiles. - Custom video — plays a short video clip for the alert instead of a static image.
Upload media files from the Media Library in the dashboard, then assign them to individual alert types.
Alert Queue
Alerts queue automatically. If multiple events happen at once (raid + donations), they play in sequence. You can set a minimum delay between alerts so they don't run together.
Testing Alerts
Each alert type has a Test button in the dashboard. Click it to fire a fake alert on your overlay — useful for checking position, size, and timing before going live.
Alert Position
Alert position is set in the Compositor. Drag the Alerts widget to where you want notifications to appear on screen. Common positions: top-center, bottom-right, or center-screen for full-width alerts.
Sound Alerts
Sound plays through the overlay's browser source in OBS. Make sure:
- The OBS browser source has audio monitoring enabled.
- The browser source is not muted in the OBS audio mixer.
See Audio Issues if sounds aren't playing.
