    The Donation alert is an on-screen pop-up that celebrates a tip or donation. It is a transparent image plus a line of text that animates in over your scene through the OBS Browser Source, so your viewers see it live.

    It fires on donations and tips from Twitch, YouTube, and direct Stripe tips - and it is the one configurable alert. System notices (going live, going offline, sleep mode) post fixed chat messages on their own and have no settings.

    Configuring the alert

    Open Donation in your dashboard and set:

    • Image - The transparent visual that shows on screen. The image is always displayed.
    • Caption - The message shown for the donation, for example "{user} just sent {amount}!".
    • Reply - The chat message the bot posts, for example "Thank you {user}! {message}".
    • Text position - Where the text sits relative to the image: above, below, left, or right. This is the only layout control.
    • TTS voice - The voice that reads the donor's message aloud.
    • Minimum amount - Donations below it do not fire the alert.

    The alert enters with a Pop animation and a Ripple splash. You can also set the accent color, text color, splash color, font, and how long the alert stays on screen.

    Tiers by amount and media

    Add tiers so bigger donations get a bigger reaction. A tier is simply an amount plus its media.

    • The amount is a free numeric value, so special numbers like 69 or 4.20 work.
    • There is no minimum or exact match-type selector. Rows with the same amount auto-group into a random pool, so one of several media items plays each time that amount fires. This is the media "gacha".

    Video and sound

    The image slot accepts a picture, GIF, or video. Video is detected automatically from the file's content type, so there is no manual video toggle.

    • When the alert uses a video, its sound is disabled automatically because the video carries its own audio.
    • Overlay video is capped at 60 seconds. GIFs loop for the alert's display duration.

    Testing

    Use the Send test button in the dashboard to fire a preview on your overlay - with a custom amount if you want to check a tier - so you can confirm the image, text, position, and media all look right before going live.

    Positioning the alert

    Set on-screen placement in the Appearance, where you drag and size the Donation layer in your scene.
