Giveaway

The Giveaway widget spins a wheel to pick a winner during your stream. You have exactly two giveaway lanes: one Live wheel and one Static wheel. There are no other giveaway instances to manage - just these two lanes.

The two lanes

  • Live wheel - Collects entrants from chat in real time. For example, viewers who type a keyword during the stream are added as they enter. The wheel is drawn from whoever entered this round.
  • Static wheel - Drawn from a fixed pool of items you have saved ahead of time. The pool is your saved items, organized by category, so you can prepare prizes in advance and spin whenever you like.

You only ever have one of each. Use the Live wheel when you want viewers to enter while you stream, and the Static wheel when you want to draw from a set list you control.

Adding and choosing a lane

When you add a giveaway, you pick which lane you want: Live or Static. Picking a lane opens that single lane (it gets-or-creates it), so adding the same lane again just returns the one you already have. You do not name giveaways or create multiple copies.

How each lane fills up

  • Live wheel entrants - Viewers enter from chat as the stream runs. Entries accumulate for the round until you clear them, so you can let entries build before you spin.
  • Static wheel items - Pull from your saved items, organized by category. Choose a category to draw from, or use all of your items. Manage these items from the Resources area so the pool is ready before you spin.

Drawing a winner

Spin the wheel to draw a winner. The Live wheel draws from current chat entrants; the Static wheel draws from the items in the selected category. After a round, clear the entries when you want to start fresh.

Appearance

Appearance settings are widget-wide: colors, fonts, and spin styling apply to the Giveaway widget overall, not to one lane. Changing the look updates both the Live and Static wheels together.

To place the wheel in your broadcast and position it on screen, see the Appearance.
